Refund Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026 · plain-English summary of clause 5 of our Terms
The short version
If we deliver the scope we agreed, the answer is yours. If we don't, it's on us — revision first, refund second, no small print.
Before any money moves
- Out-of-scope questions (politics, religion/ethnicity, commissioned research, professional advice, representation/errands) are declined at the scope stage. You are never charged for a question we won't answer.
- You approve the written scope voluntarily. That scope document is what both "covered" and "not covered" are measured against.
After delivery — 72-hour window
- Object in writing to [email protected] within 72 hours, quoting the scope line you believe was missed. ("I don't like it" isn't a scope line; "the scope promised typical trade-offs and the answer lists none" is.)
- One free revision: if a scope line was under-covered, the Expert reworks that part within 48 hours at no cost.
- Full refund if the revised answer still misses an agreed scope line. Refunds are processed through the original payment method, typically within 5 business days.
- No objection within 72 hours = engagement complete.
Special cases
- Video calls: if the call didn't happen or was under the booked duration, the difference is refunded pro rata. Reschedule with 24h notice — free, as many times as needed.
- Expert board: if fewer than 3 usable answers come back, you pay only for what delivered.
- We cancel: expert withdraws, illness, force majeure — full refund, always, no process needed.
- Abuse: repeat refunds without scope-based objections, or chargebacks bypassing this process, close the account.
Why we can be generous
Every engagement is scoped before payment by a human being who would rather lose a $49 sale than take money for an answer that can't honestly be given. That's the whole policy.
Terms of Service is the controlling document; this page summarizes it.
